CREA•Connect program goals + Topics

CONNECT REINFORCE EDUCATE AND ADVANCE

OBJECTIVE – To establish a dynamic mentorship program that fosters collaboration between AVRA and local organizations & universities’ creative programs, aimed at providing young professionals with real-world experiences, guidance, and networking opportunities as they transition into their careers.

PRIORITY #1 – WORKSHOPS + SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS

  • Launch discussions on key topics through speaking engagements: 'Finding Your Ballpark,' 'Creatives vs. Creators,' and 'Client vs. Personal' with students and emerging professionals.

  • Host a technical skills summer workshop, connecting students and the community with industry professionals for hands-on learning and skill development.

PRIORITY #2 – MENTORSHIP + REAL WORLD PROJECT EXPERIENCE

  • Align CreaConnect participants with AVRA's network professionals based on shared interests and goals. Facilitate one-on-one mentorship sessions for portfolio critiques and personalized guidance.

PRIORITY #3 – NETWORKING EVENTS + SOCIAL MIXERS

  • Students participating in workshops and mentorship program will gain valuable networking opportunities fostering connections amongst themselves and AVRA's creative community.

PRIORITY #4 – OFFICIAL INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

  • Eventually, we hope to offer official AVRA internships for program standouts, bridging academic and career paths. Internships will offer hands-on experience through university and organizational support.
