WAAL
WISCONSIN ASSOCIATION OF AFRICAN AMERICAN LAWYERSWAAL, the association of African American Lawyers, is dedicated to fostering diversity in Wisconsin's legal community. Their mission includes promoting the professional improvement of members, active engagement in the community, advocating for legal and judicial reform, and addressing root causes of poverty and powerlessness. WAAL defends against the denial of basic human and legal rights, leveraging legal tools for the advancement of education, housing, business, economic development, health delivery systems, and social institutions for Black people. Collaborations with community, state, and national programs are welcomed to combat racism, ignorance, poverty, and powerlessness.
For the past three years, AVRA has spearheaded the branding, photography, print direction, videography, and in-person relationships for WAAL, ensuring a beautiful and contemporary digital representation at their events, notably the kick-off Velandale Scholarship Dinner.
